“Killing Death”

Skull:  Symbol of death
Crosier:  Symbol of divine and earthly power
Spider:  Symbol of an insect socially unwelcome

Three elements that served me well for the purpose of representing my inspiration once I picked up the skull.  A casual and intuitive act made me think about how we face death socially in Spain.  Society is unable to look at its face, we camouflage it in the most varied forms, and any form is good as long as we do not to deal with it.
I concluded that it was a way to kill death socially, this justified my act of taking the knife and stabbing it into the skull.  In an unconscious way, I was responding to the mentality of my society.
